“The second I touched down in Brasil, I was met with the sounds of a new language. While I had spent the past semester learning Portuguese, I could have never been fully prepared for an all-new immersive environment (...) Overall, I was so grateful that I was able to meet such amazing people, travel and experience a new city and country, and conduct impactful research that can hopefully benefit the moms and children of Bom Retiro.”
